kein optimistisches, sondern ein tieftrauriges "Trennungslied" (finde diese Version aktuell auch besser als die von Gladys und den Pips):
There can be no way we can have a happy ending,
So we go on hurting and pretending.
And convincing ourselves to give it one more try
because neither one of us wants to be the first to say
... goodbye.

Fields of Gold finde ich super schön, aber es macht natürlich auch sehr traurig/melancholisch.
